Patchwork Releases Cal Price Video

[ Lewisburg, WV - October 8, 2002 ]
Patchwork Films announces the release of its newest video, "An Evening with Cal Price." Robert Conte, resident historian at The Greenbrier Hotel, brings the words of Cal Price to life in this one-man play that was filmed in front of a live audience on August 29, 2002, at The Marlinton Opera House.

This intimate one-hour visit with the Sage Editor of The Pocahontas Times weaves words, music and historical photographs to highlight Price’s life and career as editor of the last handset newspaper in America.

Patchwork producers will be present at the Landmark Studio for the Arts in Sutton, WV, this Friday, October 11, as this new Pocahontas County documentary is shown to the public for the first time.

The history of the county’s oldest weekly newspaper will be told in the upcoming Patchwork production, "30 - Cal Price and The Pocahontas Times," which is scheduled for release in the Spring of 2003. The Pocahontas Times project is sponsored by the Pocahontas County Free Libraries and made possible with the financial assistance of The Pocahontas Co. Arts Council and Pocahontas Dramas, Fairs and Festivals. Special assistance is provided by the Pocahontas Opera House Foundation and the Pocahontas Co. Historical Socity.
